Project Manager - Google Digital Wellbeing Project

Date: 13 Mar 2026

Location: bangkok, Thailand

Company: Plan International

The Organisation

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. We believe in the power and potential of every child but know this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it is girls who are most affected.

Working together with children, young people, supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges girls and vulnerable children face. We support children’s rights from birth until they reach adulthood and we enable children to prepare for and respond to crises and adversity. We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national and global levels using our reach, experience and knowledge.

For over 85 years, we have rallied other determined optimists to transform the lives of all children in more than 80 countries.

We won’t stop until we are all equal.

Role Purpose

Plan International is a rights-based development and humanitarian organization working for equality for girls and better lives for all children. We are independent of governments and have no political or religious affiliation.

Our purpose is to strive for a just world that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. We have been building powerful partnerships for children for more than 75 years, and are now active in more than 70 countries.

Plan International, in partnership with Google.org and ASEAN Foundation, is implementing the Global Teen Digital Wellbeing Initiative across Southeast Asia. The project aims to empower adolescents (13–18) to build healthy digital habits, reduce online risks, and promote mental and social wellbeing. Through curriculum adaptation, school outreach, community engagement, and policy advocacy, the initiative will reach youth, caregivers, and educators across 11 ASEAN Member States and Timor Leste.

The Project Manager will lead the implementation of this initiative in Thailand and contribute to regional coordination, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and alignment with global objectives.

Under the Project, Plan International Thailand will be responsible for management of overall project activities and compliance in Thailand, as well as coordination with the relevant country office and stakeholders as well as Plan International Thailand’s technical leads, finance team, HR and admin team and regional project team.

Dimensions of the Role

The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management and delivery of the Google Digital Wellbeing Project in Thailand, ensuring that all activities are planned, coordinated, and implemented in compliance with Plan International’s policies, quality standards, and donor requirements. The role includes full project-cycle management, encompassing work planning, budget management, monitoring, evaluation, and timely narrative and financial reporting, as well as ensuring accurate and up-to-date data entry in Plan International’s project management systems.

The Project Manager will lead coordination with government counterparts, local implementing partners, and other relevant stakeholders to contextualise and roll out the digital wellbeing curriculum in Thailand. This includes overseeing capacity-building activities for educators, children, and communities, supporting advocacy and policy-engagement initiatives, and ensuring that safeguarding, gender equality, and child-centred approaches are mainstreamed throughout project implementation.

Given the project’s regional scope, the Project Manager will serve as the primary liaison for Thailand within the wider Southeast Asia implementation, coordinating with other Plan International country offices and engaging with donor organisations to ensure alignment, knowledge sharing, and coherence across countries. Acting as the national focal point, the Project Manager will represent the project in national and regional forums and contribute to regional learning and knowledge-exchange processes across ASEAN.

The Project Manager will report to the SOYEE Programme Manager of Plan International Thailand.
