The Opportunity


As the IT Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of cybersec and infosec policies. In this role you will be required to design, audit, analyse and implement security configuration of systems and processes, as well as educate and advise both technical and business leads on cybersecurity best practice. This role has large scope and will be working with others on implementation across Plan International’s global systems and process which impacts over 12,000 users in 70 countries.


Skills, experience and knowledge required:


  • Experience of managing security in Azure, Azure AD, cloud, networking, monitoring and use of MS Sentinel and Defender)
  • Good understanding of security standards (e.g.ISO27001 or NIST Security Framework)
  • Sound understanding of Access Management systems e.g. Okta.
  • Strong technical skills, ability to understand technology across multiple domains with broad technical landscape awareness, especially Microsoft Azure, Office 365 and Dynamics with additional technologies such as Salesforce and SAP and advantage.
  • Familiar with a project management e.g (PRINCE2, AGILE) concepts
  • Understanding of service management (e.g ITIL)
  • Good organisational and co-ordination skills being able to successfully manage time, plans, projects, and other related tasks

Type of Role: 2 Year Fixed Term Contract
