Executive Engagement Advisor

Date: 28-May-2021

Location: UK OR,, Flexible

Company: Plan International

The Organisation

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls.

We believe in the power and potential of every child. But this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it’s girls who are most affected.

Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges facing girls and all vulnerable children.

We support children’s rights from birth until they reach adulthood. And we enable children to prepare for – and respond to – crises and adversity. We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national and global levels using our reach, experience and knowledge.

We have been building powerful partnerships for children for over 80 years, and are now active in more than 70 countries.

The Opportunity

As the Executive Engagement Advisor you will provide support and coordination for the CEO and the broader Plan International senior leadership team across all parts of Plan International, including supporting the oversight and delivery of key projects related to the Member account management. In this role you will organise and coordinate CEO outreach and serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders in their engagement with the CEO.

In this role, you will assist in preparing relevant communications content that is engaging and effective for the CEO to the wider organisation. Along with the department administrator you will support the CEO with time, priority and logistics management. You will also aid in initiating and maintaining quality-controlled systems for internal information and communication flows to and from the CEO.

The Individual

We are looking to recruit a proactive team member who has strong experience in providing support to upper-level management in a complex organisation. With demonstrable experience in providing strategic and analytical support to senior management and/or governance bodies and you will build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you will need to have strong project management and planning skills and you will have the ability to process information quickly and to think outside the box. You will be flexible and work well both independently and collaboratively. You will also have good analytical skills and excellent written and spoken communication skills.
