The opportunity

  • Incorporate new grants into Plan’s corporate system and monitor grants in SAP, General General Ledger (GL) and grant tracking system
  • Assist SR. Grants Accountant in providing detailed analysis required for the grants related reports.
  • Assist SR. Grants Accountant to monitor budget versus expenditure for the all grants funded projects.
  • Assist Sr. Grants Accountant to ensure that all approved POs received from the PO point person are correctly linked in the SAP in a timely manner (to avoid delay of implementation & payments), with all grant account lines attached to the relevant FAD.
  • Analysing variances and burn rate of Grants projects on monthly basis and flag out potential problems for timely corrective measures.
  • Review and ensure all data in the corporate Grants Monitoring reports is accurately entered.
  • Any other task that may be assigned by supervisor

 

About You

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Business Administration majoring in Accounting
  • Experience in a similar role working in a computerized accounting office in an NGO set up.
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities
  • Ability to interpret and work accordance with laid down procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in computer skills and use of relevant software and other applications, e.g. word processing, spreadsheet, word, internet
