We are a newly locally registered Foundation, connected to 80+ Plan International offices worldwide.
We work with around 7,000 partner communities or barangays across the country, delivering programs on (PIER) Protection from Violence, Inclusive Health, Education to Economic Empowerment, and Resilience and Humanitarian.
We have 30,000 sponsored children and 2.5 million program participants, co-creating lasting impact especially for girls.

Plan International Pilipinas Foundation Inc. is driving an innovative project: Strengthening Structures for Anticipatory Humanitarian Action for Gender-Responsive and Inclusive Disaster Management in the Philippines.
This initiative empowers youth, children, families, and communities to anticipate and mitigate the impacts of disasters through forecast-based early action. Working closely with local government units, we aim to strengthen risk identification, enhance early warning systems, and establish flexible financing for anticipatory action—prioritizing gender equality, inclusion, protection, and sexual and reproductive health and rights.
We are looking for a dynamic and committed professional to join our team as:
Communications and Advocacy Officer
In this role, you will be at the forefront of shaping how we communicate and advocate for inclusive disaster management. Your work will amplify voices, inspire action, and ensure visibility for this groundbreaking project.
What You’ll Do
- Implement the project’s communications plan and ensure alignment with organizational strategies.
- Lead the conceptualization, planning, and execution of advocacy campaigns and high-impact communications activities.
- Support the rollout of Plan International Pilipinas’ updated brand strategy.
- Co-organize high-visibility events that engage stakeholders and communities.
- Develop compelling case stories and stories of change for digital platforms and reports.
- In exceptional cases, contribute to emergency response activities in project areas.
What We’re Looking For
- A graduate in Communication, Development Communication, Journalism, or related fields.
- At least 1 year of experience in social media management, web writing, and content development.
- Strong understanding of digital platforms and emerging technologies.
- Proficiency in design and video editing tools is an advantage.
- Previous experience in the development sector is highly desirable.
- Excellent command of English, strong interpersonal skills, and flexibility.
- Willingness to conduct fieldwork in project areas.
- Must be based in the Philippines and a Filipino national.
