The Opportunity
Plan international Cameroon is looking to employ the services of a highly skilled, experienced and qualified professional to join its ranks as Accounts Assistant. The Accounts Assistant will maintain quality finance and grants accountability for the Project and will reporting to Emergency Response Finance Coordinator MPIIA and the Project Coordinator (PC). This position will work closely with Plan International Cameroon, Maroua PIIA’s staff, in finance and grants to ensure timely and accurate grant reporting, maintenance of grant records, and active participation in the revision processes of awarded grants. The Account Assistant will also be responsible for tracking the grant’s budget vs actual spending.
This role ensures overall financial accountability, compliance, and reporting to donors and management on the project overall program implementation. As Account Assistant, you will be responsible for the grants management and reporting processes, budget management; financial management and reporting are conducted in a manner consistent with the Government of Cameroon and Plan International policies, procedures, and regulations.
The Individual
We are looking to recruit a qualified candidate, with a bachelor degree in accounting, finance, management, economics and at least three years of experience in a similar position. As Account Assistant, you need to have a good experience with financial reporting requirements. You wiil have a practical and relevant experience in emergency response, a good editorial skill (ability to write reports) and know how to use a computer and master standard software (Word, Excel, etc.). A Knowledge of the field of intervention and an experience in using SAP and Microsoft D365 would be an asset.
