The Opportunity
This position is responsible for Monitoring and Evaluation, technical leadership planning initiatives, monitoring, evaluation, research and dissemination in the context of IOM respective project implementation for assistance to Refugees, IDPs and host communities in the Far North Region of Cameroon specially in the Logone and Chari. As Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant, you will strengthen the project technical team and will provide technical support to the Project Coordinator, communities and other partners. You will co-ordinate closely with the Project Coordinator, the PIIA MERL Coordinator and other Emergency Response Team members and Plan International staff, especially monitoring & evaluation management, to improve program quality and effectiveness of the current response/project as well as any future recovery activities. You will work closely with PIIA MERL Coordinator, IOM Project Coordinator, Project teams and the partners.
The Individual
We are looking to recruit a qualified candidate, with a Bachelor degree in Monitoring and evaluation or university diploma in social sciences, statistics, economics or other related sectors. As Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant, you will have three years of relevant professional experience in the Monitoring Evaluation, Researched and Learning, a solid experience in the conduct of qualitative and quantitative survey; You need to have a master standard software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint...) and an excellent data management and data analysis skills, with experience using at least 3 software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Power-BI, Access, SPSS, STATA, a previous experience with electronic/mobile data collection (KOBO Collect ODK, CommCare). Experience in the Logone et chari - Far North region of Cameroon is an asset.
