Job Description

Reporting to the Country Director (of the hosting country), the Head of Business Development for Southern Africa will lead and coordinate strategic business development efforts across for Plan International across Southern Africa, covering the Country Offices of Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The role will drive individual countries’ resource mobilization efforts through all BD staff across different locations working as a single team. Where an opportunity arises, the role will also support multi-country/sub-regional resource mobilization.

The individual

 

Desired skills and competencies for the role;

  • A Master’s Degree in International Development, similar or relevant to the position.
  • Development professional with a relevant Masters’ Degree;
  • 10 years relevant experience in development sector or demonstrated equivalent combination;
  • At least 6 years’ experience in managing resource mobilization in the country or the region within the development sector.
