The Opportunity

 

As a key member of our Global Logistics & Procurement team, this role will provide you with a unique opportunity to put a real mark on a large and complex fleet. You will be looking in depth into Plan International’s fleet portfolio and identifying areas for continuous development, growing, and strengthening the Fleet function in our Country Offices. In order to deliver this you will need to think and act innovatively, with the aptitude to change processes, work with stakeholders on their needs and achieve better value for money in our Fleet Management.

 

You will work to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, safety and performance of our Fleet as a critical enabler to our projects, there by saving Plan International critical funds to achieve greater impact for children’s’ rights and equality in the countries we work in.

 

 

The Individual

 

We are looking to recruit a solutions-oriented and innovative individual who has significant technical experience of managing a global hard-running fleet of mixed engines commensurate with Plan’s portfolio. You will have the ability to analyse and interpret fleet data and behaviours to identify areas for review to achieve greater fleet improvement and optimisation. You will also have demonstrable understanding of fleet management systems and tracking solutions and strong project management skills.

To be successful in this role you will have excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills in order to achieve strategic outcomes. You will be flexible and comfortable working to multiple deadlines and with changing priorities. With excellent attention to detail and a good level of self-awareness to enable you to understand, build relationships and engage tactfully and collaboratively across cultures.

Location: Flexible location, in most locations where Plan International has a legal entity and you have the pre-existing right to live and work. Our preference is for the person to the based closet to the point of impact.

Reports to: Global Senior Supply Chain Manager

Salary: We will be happy to disclose the salary and applicable benefits to applicants as part of this process, however, please kindly note that this will vary according to the location of the appointed candidate and therefore, it is not possible to include full details here. The person appointed will not be done so on an international package.
