ROLE PURPOSE

To provide safe and efficient transportation services to Plan International Tanzania’s country/field offices and reliable programme support, ensure safety and security of both passengers and property, take part in vehicle maintenance, support efficient utilisation of vehicles

DIMENSION OF THE ROLE

The post holder will manage the Plan vehicle based in the country or field programme offices. This includes ensuring vehicle is fit for purpose to deliver the projects or service and is actively managed, fuel management and maintaining vehicle operating books, staff and property safety and security during transportation, compliance with road/transport policies, laws and regulations, efficient staff and material transportation, administration/logistics and programme support.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Education and Experience

• Education: Diploma or equivalent
• License: Valid, clean professional driving license (appropriate class for passenger vehicles).
• Vocational training on basic vehicle maintenance skills.
• A minimum of five years of experience in vehicle driving preferably in humanitarian and development sector/ INGOs
• Very good knowledge of driving rules, regulations and courtesies.
• Ability to manage minor vehicle repair.
• Experience in field logistics support.
• Functional knowledge of the English language both in speaking and writing.
