The Role:

 

The Communications Specialist (Brand, Content and Market Analysis) responsible for shaping and driving Plan International Bangladesh’s brand identity, content strategy, and market analysis. This role focuses on enhancing the organization’s visibility, supporting programmatic goals, and aligning communications with donor and partner requirements. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong storytelling skills, market insight, and the ability to craft messages that resonate with diverse audiences.

The role profile will be responsible for producing audio visual, print and digital contents and implementing strategies to enhance Plan International Bangladesh’s brand identity and ensure consistent messaging through content across all communication channels. This role will focus on creating robust and compelling content that effectively communicates our mission and engages stakeholders, including donors, partners, and the community. The post holder will set the tone of the branding and positioning that well aligns with the organization’s country strategy, values, and influencing priorities.

The position holder will collaborate effectively with relevant stakeholders such as- film and media training institutes, media outlets, agencies, youths, influencers, Govt, academia, ministries, civil society and peer organizations etc. The person will also provide support for the maintenance of branding-related policies and content monitoring. S/he will lead the process of integrating successful branding campaign with projects and programme keeping it aligned with visions and influencing priorities of the project and most importantly with youth and youth organization for building and strengthening partnership with them.

 

What we’re looking for:

 

  • Masters in Mass Communication/Journalism/Public Relations/International Relations/Film studies/ Anthropology, English or relevant discipline from a recognized University
  • At least 7 years’ experience in similar job in development and Humanitarian organization with 3 years’ experience as a Communications and Content specialist   
  • Advanced skills of adobe photoshop, illustrator, premiere pro, After effects and InDesign.
  • Significant experience of capturing, designing, editing and delivering audio-visual contents both at rural and urban setting
  • Very strong English and Bangla language communications skills – written and verbal.
  • Understanding of advanced techniques, strategies and channels to produce contents for emergency response, SBCC, C4D and sustainable developments targeting a range of key audiences
  • Strong knowledge of and interest in organizational branding, positioning and media advocacy
  • Sound knowledge on constantly shifting development, humanitarian, political, economic, social, tech and media trends and dynamics of relevance to effective content marketing and branding.
  • Experience in community organising, media mobilisation especially engaging young people and/ or working with social movements for change
  • Ability to deliver creative, innovative work, involving cross-team collaboration, within a tight deadline
  • Strong knowledge of human rights and gender justice
  • Advanced knowledge of web design and content management systems, paid-unpaid social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, twitter and YouTube.
  • Budgeting skills to assist in programme branding, content planning, tracking, reporting and knowledge of technical asset management.
