The reaming next six years of strategy period the role of girls and youth from all identities in a greater social movement will be extended, supported and acclaimed, enabling them to step out of prescribed gender roles, break the poverty chain, and manage acute shocks and stressors, including those created by climate change.

 

The Role

 

The Analyst – Policy, Influencing, and Networking will play a key role in advancing Plan International Bangladesh’s policy and advocacy agenda. The position focuses on analysing national and global policy trends, identifying gaps, and generating evidence-based insights to influence policies on children's rights, gender equality, and sustainable development.

 

The role involves leading policy analysis and development, driving advocacy strategies, and fostering strategic alliances at national, regional, and global levels. The Analyst will represent Plan in key platforms such as Joining Forces Bangladesh, CRAC,B, Girls Not Brides, and LNOB, while ensuring engagement across all relevant networks.

 

Working under the Director – Influencing, Campaign and Communications, the Analyst will support the development of strategic documents, policy briefs, and research reports aligned with organizational goals and the SDGs. The position will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders—including government, civil society, and international partners—to drive policy reforms and advance Plan’s influencing priorities.

 

What we’re looking for

 

  • Experienced Value based Leader: At least 5 years’ experience in similar job in development and Humanitarian organization with 3 years’ experience in the area of advocacy, policy analysis & strategic communication.

 

  • Technical expertise: Strong research, communication, strategic thinking, public relations and advisory skills, including written and presentations is required. Experience in engaging the non-formal actors of policymaking process: citizens, interest groups, social movements and mobilization, political parties, think tanks and research organization and media.

 

  • Inclusivity Champion: Commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace and practicing feminist principles in leadership.

 

  • Collaborative Partner: Ability to work effectively with internal and external partners, Legislature/Parliament (Parliament members, committee, staff of the parliament secretariat), Executives (Prime Minister, Principal secretary, Minsters, Cabinet Secretary, staffs of the cabinet secretariat, administrative agencies, bureaus, departments) and the Judiciary (Justice, Judges, Staffs of the Judiciary), building strong networks for PIB’s success.
