Plan International Philippines will be implementing a three-year project that aims to increase the realization of rights of children and young people to Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRHR) by working with selected communities in North and West Samar to prevent teenage pregnancies due to the their deleterious effects on health, nutrition, education, development and future productivity of these children and young people.

In this regard, Plan International invites highly competent, experienced and committed professionals to fill the following position:

PROJECT COORDINATOR

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the team in the orientation, implementation, and monitoring of the project in all communities covered by the project.
• Supervises community diagnosis with community leaders/members to identify strengths & weakness participated by children particularly girls, children with disabilities and LGBTQI, adolescents, youth, men and women.
• Supervises counseling of duty bearers, parents, pregnant and lactating women, adolescent mothers, youth, husbands on (key messages) on SRHR.
• Ensures proper documentation of all community activities and processes of this project.
• Responsible for ensuring the project is fully compliant with all donor rules, regulations, and other requirements.
• Consolidate, prepare, and submit monthly accomplishment reports and all donor required reporting.
• Staff management

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Human Ecology, Education, or Community development. Relevant educational background related to Social Welfare, Population, and Development.
• Relevant training on Community Development; Program/ Project Management; Participatory Rapid/ Rural Appraisal; Safet and Security, Risk Management.
• Has a minimum of one year experience in managing projects, preferably in an international NGO setting.
• Supervisory experience is a must.
• Relevant knowledge, work or volunteer experience in activities and/or projects related to adolescent and maternal health in relation to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights is an advantage.
• This role is based in Catbalogan City, Samar. Local applicants are preferred.
