Plan International is currently implementing UNICEF-CERF (Central Emergency Response Fund) funded Anticipatory Action Project in the provinces of Catanduanes and North Samar.


In line with this project, Plan International invites competent, experienced, and committed professionals to fill the following position.


The Community Development Facilitator will lead the implementation of the pilot project and work with identified local partners. She/he will lead in the coordination with the provincial and city local government.


Further, as the Community Development Facilitator:


  • You will be tasked to conduct community diagnoses with community leaders/members.
  • You will have the opportunity to use multiple tools and methods to capture the knowledge, attitude, and practices (KAP) on the understanding of climate change adaptation of children, youth and schools, and local government units.
  • You will facilitate the adaptation and, where necessary, develop and conduct awareness-raising campaigns and information and communication materials (including radio messages) at the community level.
  • You will be assigned to document the project activities, processes, and good practices.





To be successful in the role you will need among other things:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Community Development, Education, other related courses.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in community development, community organizing, and implementing projects that are related to disaster resilience, climate change adaptation, or participatory rapid/rural appraisal.
  • Previous work experience in a similar role or in a non-government organization/s is an advantage.
  • Good verbal communication skills and the ability to relate to people from all backgrounds.
  • Applicants must be based in the Philippines and a Filipino national.
