The Opportunity:

The post holder will report to the Deputy Country Director of Plan Egypt. The incumbent advises and facilitates the preparation of the sponsorship budget and ensures that all planned activities are implemented. The post holder also estimates, recommends and presents for approval the procurement of Sponsorship working tools and material for the country such as cameras and stationery to be used in the Program units. She/he indirectly supervises the Building Relationship staff at the Program Units.



The purpose of this job is to manage the child sponsorship function in the country as per Plan policy requirements, so as to ensure continuous sponsorship funding. The post holder promotes building of relations between the donors and communities through matching of the sponsorship funding to the goal and objectives of the Country Strategic Plan.


Responsibilities include:

BR Strategy:

  • Set up Building Relationships strategy according to the Country directions to ensure that Sponsorship is aligned with programs.
  • Prepare sponsorship operational budget in line with Plan policies and guidelines.

Caseload management:

  • Plan and monitor the country Caseload to maintain caseload plans intact in line with regional plans.

Technical support:

  • Provide sponsorship technical support to Program Units’ staff to ensure sponsorship processes meet the planned standards in line with Sponsorship Book.
  • Conduct and facilitate trainings on sponsorship for Plan staff to facilitate sponsorship improvements in line with country plans.

Sponsorship Quality:

  • Contribute to quality plans to improve sponsorship processes and communications in line with Sponsorship Book.


  • Produce periodic reports to management ensuring that management is equipped with the needed information for decision making.
  • Produce sponsorship data analysis to monitor progress and to provide indicators for sponsorship processes.  

Team Development

  • Contribute to the development of subordinates by setting individual objectives and providing feedback of performance versus objectives to maximize levels of individual performance.
  • Provide guidance and support to subordinates to ensure that the team is equipped with the necessary resources, tools, skills and caliber enabling the unit to maximize its performance.

Dealing with Problems:

Complexity of problems handled & the degree of investigation, analysis, & creative thinking required to solve them


The position involves much analysis of trends in sponsorship compliance including monthly production, National office inquiries adherence, cancellation categories and trends, enrolment and gender equity compliance. This information is generated for management information, issue(s) assessment, input and decision making. In addition, the position designs and develops the guidelines for Country Sponsorship management in the country context to ensure participation of children, families and communities in line with the country strategic plan. This is to ensure appropriate inclusion of key stakeholders in Sponsorship activities.



Communications and Working Relationships:


To ensure that Sponsorship corporate requirements are met and funding is optimized, the post holder will enhance the Building Relationships support function with International headquarters, National offices and the Regional office.

Minimum Qualifications:

University degree in relevant field


Minimum Experience:

3-5 years’ experience in development proffered in sponsorship
