Plan started working in Egypt in 1981 and has a presence in ten of the 27 governorates in which the country including Cairo, Alexandria, Giza, Beheira, Kalyoubia, Damietta, Qena, Assuit and Sohag. Plan international Egypt implements programmes designed to enable communities to improve the lives of the most marginalised children and their families. Plan Egypt’s Country Strategy focuses on five strategic objectives.

Through a five-interconnected, gender transformative and context-fit country objectives, PIE intends along with the various stakeholders at all levels to continue delivering positive and transformative changes so that “Children, especially girls, and young people grow up in an enabling environment, realizing their rights and contributing in both development and humanitarian settings as active agents of change”.

 Purpose

The position holder is responsible for the implementation of IT operational plans, IT disaster recovery plans within the PA and Security and access control for data and network devices. Plan and manage PA technical services ensuring adherence to all corporate processes as approved by the IT Manager. The postholder provides first line technical support for Plan users and documenting any critical issues. Carry out Field partners capacity assessment and building regarding IT skills and cybersecurity. Operate as Data Privacy focal person

Accountabilities:

  • Implement, manage and maintain reliable IT infrastructure that suit for the business by ensuring IT security standards are implemented.
  • Provides both remote and on-site first line support, advice and solutions to IT users in relation to application, data and business process issue, ensuring all issues are resolved in a timely fashion and ensure efficient and consistent adoption and use of ICT applications.
  • Provide the admin support needed for Plan corporate applications like, but not limited to, SAP, Email, OneDrive and MS Teams.
  • Ensure that system security and organizational compliance, processes and procedures are in place and properly maintained at the PA
  • Perform proactive tasks for IT infrastructure and corporate applications maintenance
  • Maintain agreed levels of service provision and service levels
  • Provide IT support to delivering program outputs
  • Provide IT expertise to IT in the communities (IT as a medium of development)
  • Facilitate information management and usage
  • Increase user IT proficiency through the transfer of skills to Plan staff and communities
  • Promote and abide by internal policies and procedures including but not limited to child protection policy, gender equality policy, code of conduct and mandatory reporting responsibility
  • Ensures that there are protocols and systems to monitor child protection in all issues of information technology at PA level
  • Monitoring of the network security and supervising the entire network system of the PA.
  • Managing the inherent IT risks of the PAs he is supporting.
  • Participate actively in the preparation of ICT strategy and annual work plan and ensure its implementation.
  • Ensure Plan ICT policies, procedures and guidelines are implemented effectively
  • Plan and manage the IT budget for all the PAs he is supporting.
  • Manage users’ and servers’ backup.
  • Maintain inventory of ICT equipment, hardware, and software and ensure adequate supply and functionality, in collaboration with relevant staff.
  • Ensure that Data Privacy policy is applied in the PAs he is supporting.
  • Assess and report cybersecurity and users’ capacity for our field partners and provide the needed support to fill any gap.
