Plan started working in Egypt in 1981 and has a presence in ten of the 27 governorates in which the country including Cairo, Alexandria, Giza, Beheira, Kalyoubia, Damietta, Qena, Assuit and Sohag. Plan international Egypt implements programmes designed to enable communities to improve the lives of the most marginalised children and their families. Plan Egypt’s Country Strategy focuses on five strategic objectives.

Through a five-interconnected, gender transformative and context-fit country objectives, PIE intends along with the various stakeholders at all levels to continue delivering positive and transformative changes so that “Children, especially girls, and young people grow up in an enabling environment, realizing their rights and contributing in both development and humanitarian settings as active agents of change”.

 

Purpose

The purpose of the role is to ensure the compliance of projects in line with donor and Plan International Egypt’s compliance guidelines. The GCC will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the grant compliance for Plan Egypt grant portfolio from the grant approval stage till the closure of the project/grant. The GCC will also promote a culture of grant compliance in Plan Egypt and be responsible for training Plan staff and project partners on grant compliance and grant management aspects. The GCC will be responsible for developing a FY/yearly calendar of projects reports to National Offices, donors and ensure agreed compliance deadlines are met. Also, GCC will review the project reports to ensure the consistency and compliance to donor requirements.

 

Scope

The Grants Compliance Coordinator at Plan International Egypt encompasses the responsibility of ensuring adherence to grant requirements, policies, and regulations across all stages of the grant lifecycle. This includes reviewing grant agreements/contracts, outlining compliance requirements and ensure cascading of these requirements to relevant team members. The position collaborates with program managers, finance teams, and external stakeholders to uphold grant compliance standards and ensure quality reporting. Additionally, it involves providing training and support to project members either at Plan or partners to enhance understanding of grant compliance requirements.
