The Opportunity

 

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as the Senior Operations Officer in Brussels. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission by supporting the EU Liaison team in their work.  

In this role you will ensure the smooth running of Plan International’s EU Liaison Office, you will be responsible for managing a variety of critical operations tasks for Plan International’s EU Liaison Office, including financial management and reporting, human resources, office management and coordination of safeguarding activities for the EU team.  

 

 About you

 

  • A proven ability to work in a fast-paced, multifaceted, international setting with minimal supervision  
  • Extensive experience in managing budgets and financial administration  
  • Experience of working with external Belgian payroll provides, particularly SDWorx 
  • Excellent knowledge of Belgian employment law and tax and social security system 
  • Proven experience in operations/ office management/administration, preferably in the non-profit sector. 
  • Excellent written and spoken English and French 
  • Computer skills including the ability to operate computerised accounting, spreadsheets (MS Excel), MS PowerPoint, Prezi, and word processing programs (MS Word, MS Outlook) at a highly proficient level 
  • Excellent organisational and events/project management skills 
  • Proactive attitude

Location: Brussels, Belgium. Hybrid working with up to 3 days per week from home. You must have the pre-existing right to work and live in Belgium without restriction.

Type of Role: CDI, Belgian Fixed Term Contract, Full-time (5 days per week, 37,5 hours)
