Date: 20 Dec 2024
Location: Beirut, Lebanon
Company: Plan International
The Organisation
Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. We believe in the power and potential of every child but know this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it is girls who are most affected.
Working together with children, young people, supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges girls and vulnerable children face. We support children’s rights from birth until they reach adulthood and we enable children to prepare for and respond to crises and adversity. We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national and global levels using our reach, experience and knowledge.
For over 85 years, we have rallied other determined optimists to transform the lives of all children in more than 80 countries.
We won’t stop until we are all equal.
Our global strategy explicitly focuses on girls, who are often the most marginalized and left behind. We have committed to reaching 200 million girls over five years to ensure they can learn, lead, decide, and thrive. This is our contribution to reaching the sustainable development goals and, in particular, the goals of gender equality.
Our organization is transforming itself to meet this enormous challenge everywhere we work. We need a bold, forward-thinking, and innovative individual to drive our grants and Partnership compliance processes and ensure optimal performance across the PIL grants portfolio. The purpose of this position is to ensure the successful management of grants funded by a variety of donors, and this will be achieved through the establishment and use of best practice project management systems, providing expert advice on donor requirements and regulations, by supporting contract negotiation and review and by helping to build staff capacity to ensure compliance with contractual and donor regulations. Another critical aspect of the role will be supporting reporting on all aspects of the PIL grants portfolio, including performance and income reporting.
