Child Protection in Emergencies Quality Team Lead

Date: 12-Aug-2019

Location: Cox's Bazar, 11, BD

Company: Plan International

The Organisation

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls.

We believe in the power and potential of every child. But this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it’s girls who are most affected.

Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges facing girls and all vulnerable children.

We support children’s rights from birth until they reach adulthood. And we enable children to prepare for – and respond to – crises and adversity. We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national and global levels using our reach, experience and knowledge.

We have been building powerful partnerships for children for over 80 years, and are now active in more than 70 countries.

The Opportunity:

We are currently looking for a CPIE Quality Team lead to review and develop programme strategy, designing programme alignment with Plan International’s overall ambition within the Cox’s Bazaar Programme to ensure local and global standards, covering both the Rohingya and host communities.

One of the major responsibilities you will have is to develop the capacity of national staff (both  echnical and field level implementation).  You will also work closely with the business development and implementation team to develop concept note/ proposals for new grants and programmefunding opportunities, meaning the ability to communicate confidently will be crucial. You will also maintain local level technical networks, donor relationships and intelligence. The Quality Team Lead will represent the organization in the related technical cluster/sub-clusters at Cox’s Bazar, and in other forums for this response programme.
